The photos here are of Europe's new Golf wagon expect an identical vehicle to come to North America this autumn as the Jetta wagon.

The wagon expands the Jetta sedan's already commodious cargo capacity of 16 cubic feet to 24.5. Fold down the rear seats for even more room a whopping 54.7 cubic feet.

Engines will carry over from the sedan: a 2.5-liter 150-horse five-cylinder and turbo 2.0-liter 200-horse four-cylinder. A BlueTec diesel will likely come later.

The new wagon looks sportier than the previous generation, with a less upright rear (tapered glass) and huge curvy taillights.
